Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between emergency power and backup power?

In short: emergency power switches over automatically and quickly during a power cut, usually to selected circuits. Backup power supplies the building for longer, often with a short interruption when switching over. Which solution fits depends on what has to keep running in an emergency – in a barn that’s a different matter than in a family home.

Can my existing PV system provide backup power?

Often yes, but not with every inverter. Usually you need suitable battery storage or a battery inverter and grid disconnection that meets the standards. We check your existing equipment and plan whatever is missing.

Why a custom battery storage system instead of a branded product?

Because capacity, power and backup function match your needs exactly – especially with high consumption in agriculture and business. And because development, service and spare parts are all in our hands. Where an off-the-shelf unit is the better choice, we plan that in too.

My system is about to reach the end of its 20-year EEG feed-in tariff. What should I do?

The system may keep running. It usually pays to use as much of the power yourself as possible – for example with battery storage, a heat pump or a wallbox. Beforehand we check the condition of the system and whether the meter cabinet and metering concept need to be adapted.

Do you also offer new PV systems?

Yes. We plan new PV systems for homes, businesses and farms to match your consumption, not just your roof area – with battery storage, backup power and a wallbox if you wish. Installation is handled by our partner company for electrical work. Afterwards, we remain your point of contact for any faults. We look after existing systems just the same – even if another company built them.
